Join us for The Hammer, Cleveland's Indoor Erg Race
Saturday, February 21st, 2026 The Spartan Alumni Rowing Association and Cleveland Rowing Foundation are hosting The Hammer, Cleveland's Indoor Erg race at Cleveland Rowing Foundation, located at 1003 British St, Cleveland, OH 44113, on Saturday, February 21st, 2026. Doors will open at 9am EST, to all competitors and competition will begin promptly at 10am. With a variety of race categories across a span of athlete types, we expect a large turnout for this year's competition. High School Athletes
2000m Events will be split into lightweight and heavyweight categories for both male and female athletes under the age of 19. |
Open/Collegiate Athletes
2000m Events for both male and female athletes of any age or skill level with both lightweight & heavyweight categories. |
Masters Athletes
1000m Events for both male and female athletes ages 21+. All ages and skill levels are welcome to compete. |
Coxswain Athletes
1000m Events for coxswain athletes - these events will be 1000m for competitors of all ages and skill levels. |
The Sledgehammer
Every year, we host "The Sledgehammer" - a 2000m erg relay race composed of 4 individuals per team. Each athlete on one team will be required to complete a 500m sprint prior to passing their erg off to the next competitor on their team. Teams are required to include 2 men and 2 women.
